School's Out! Top Ten List Of Summer Activities

School is out for summer break and the kids at Eagle Ridge are pretty excited about it. If you're looking for something to do this summer check out our top ten list of activities that are close to Eagle Ridge.

1 - Go for a Bike ride
We have bike trail maps in the office, so stop by to pick one up and also pick up your bike permit. You can store your bikes in the bike room or in front of cars in the garage; please don't store them on your patio or balcony.

2 - Go to the Park
We're fortunate at Eagle Ridge to have a park just one block south of the property with swings, a baseball diamond, additional tennis and basketball courts, plus a boat launch to Eagle Lake is across the street. The Eagle Ridge office has basketballs and tennis rackets and balls.

3 - Camp Arbor 
Free morning camp for children ages 3-10 at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes beginning today, June 11 They have educational activities, face painting, snacks - what could be better?

4 - Have a Picnic
Pack a lunch and enjoy the outdoors while you eat at the grilling and picnic areas at Eagle Ridge with your friends and family.

5  - Take Your Parents To The Pool
Nothing says summer more than a refreshing splash in the pool! Pool hours are 9 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

6 - Miniature Golfing
At Eagle Lake Golf they have an 18 hole mini golf course. The cost is $6 for adults, $5 for kids. Call 763-694-7695 for hours.

7 - WhirleyBall
This is a new sport that is a combination of lacrosse, basketball, and bumper cars. It's pretty amazing. You can go play at the Mann Theater building, where they also have laser tag. Contact them at 763-657-1555.

8 - Go to the beach

There's quite a few nice parks near Eagle Ridge where you can go visit a nice beach on a warm day. Check out these parks: Weaver Lake Community Park and Beach, Fish Lake Regional Park, Elm Creek Park Reserve.

9 - Dave and Busters
There's tons of fun to be had at Dave and Busters. Get food and play hundreds of arcade games or watch sports on TV. Come to the office and get a coupon for 50% off game plays.

10 - Fly a Kite
Head down to the Baseball diamond at the park. It's a great spot and probably the closest open sky to Eagle Ridge where your kite won't get caught in a tree.
