Fun? Maybe Not. But a Washer and Dryer in Your Apartment Makes Laundry Easier!

When it comes to laundry, just take a cue from Frank Sinatra and say, "I'll do it my way!" There are some convenient options for our residents when it comes to getting the laundry done at Eagle Ridge. You pick the way that fits you best!

Probably the most convenient way to to access laundry facilities at Eagle Ridge is to have a washer and dryer right in your apartment. Did you know that every apartment comes equipped with the hookups for a washer and dryer? You can either bring your own, or rent them from Eagle Ridge. We have full-sized washers and dryers available for $30.00 a month. You get the convenience of having laundry facilities right in your own apartment, so putting in a load is super easy; plus when you rent an Eagle Ridge washer or dryer, our maintenance crew will fix them if they need fixing, or replace them. That service alone can save you money and a headache!

There are also laundry rooms on every floor of our buildings, where you can use pay-per-load washers and dryers. It may not be as convenient as having a washer and dryer right in your apartment, but hey, at least you don't have to go outside to a laundry-mat! It costs $15.00 per month to rent a key to the laundry room on your floor.

However you prefer to do your laundry is up to you, but Eagle Ridge gives you some great options and you can decide to do laundry your way!

If you would like to add a washer and dryer to your lease, simply contact the office. The maintenance staff will stop in and set it all up for you; and you'll be set to go.

Six Awesome Tips to Make Your Apartment Super Spacious

We often hear from our residents that they love the spaciousness of our floorplans. Our apartments here at Eagle Ridge range from 808 to 1221 square feet. Even with all that room, you can still follow some tried and true methods for maximizing your space.

Here are six great ideas for making your apartment home your own.

Mirrors: The use of mirrors can really open up a room. They reflect the lighting in the room and add depth. Strategically placing a mirror will make your space seem expansive.

Lights: Dim lights can fill the apartment with shadows. Use lights that are bright to open the room up. The best way to increase light? Natural light is the best for this - so open up the blinds and let the sunshine in!

Colors: With Leasing Office approval, you can select light colors such as yellows or cream colors on the wall to enhance the room. Painting one or two walls in your apartment as "accent" walls will help create contrast and a sense of depth and make the room feel bigger. Remember, all painting should be done by our staff of painters, so check with the office before you decide to go with this option.

Walls: Make sure to not clutter the walls. It is nice to hang a few pictures, but too many things on the wall can make it seem like it is closing in on you.

Furniture: Make sure the furniture and other large items aren't overbearing to the space. Take a look at your living area and rearrange the furniture, or even get rid of some things that take up too much space.

Air: Once it is nice out, but not quite yet of course, open the windows and let the air flow through. If the weather is an issue, maybe think about buying some houseplants to liven the room up a bit. There are many indoor plants that help improve air quality.

It's Five Degrees Outside. Why Do We Live Here?

This winter has seemed particularly difficult, what with the "Polar Vortex" bearing down on the region and bringing some pretty cold weather. Plus we've gotten lots of snow. (A big thank-you to our Condor crew for doing such a great job plowing!) It all adds up to make us ask ourselves... why do we live here?

That prompted us to take a survey of our staff about why they choose to live in Minnesota. We found that many of them had one very similar reason: family. Family ties are strong enough, apparently, to make us put up with the cold. Family is pretty important to the Eagle Ridge staff; after all, Eagle Ridge is a family-owned business. Plus our Eagle Ridge employees often think of the staff as family. Every day they work together to make sure our residents have a warm and well-maintained home for their families.

Check out the responses we got from each of our staff members:

Ginny: I live in Minnesota because I love seeing the different changes of the seasons. In the summer we have absolutely beautiful freshly cut green grass-- everything seems so fresh and clean.

Kelsey: I live in Minnesota because my family is here. They are my number one priority. I also enjoy the people—It’s nice to be living in a state known as “Minnesota Nice”. Everyone here is so friendly and it’s refreshing to be around positive people.

Coty: I live in Minnesota because of family, plus this job opportunity brought me to this great state.

Scott: I live in Minnesota because family is important.

Dave: I live in Minnesota because I enjoy snowmobiling and skiing. I also enjoy living around 10,000 lakes to jet ski on in the summertime.

Gary: I live in Minnesota because this would be a great state to retire in.

George: I live in Minnesota because it’s a great state with a low unemployment rate and there are wonderful opportunities.

Sam & Chris: We live in Minnesota because we enjoy nature and like to see the season changes.

Cindy: I live in Minnesota because of my family. It is important to me be near them.

Ashley & Jesse: We live in Minnesota because of the beautiful landscapes. We also are near family, which is important to us.

Pam: I live in Minnesota because of the changes of seasons.
